one mile... (starting slow...  8)

;) Good Job, keep going everyday and try not to miss 2 days in a row
2 miles this morning... try to keep it a 'brisk' pace. (brisk being a relative term... )... Thanks for the motivation.  Tomorrow three.

A good idea is to log your miles and set a weekly goal (miles or time)

I will place it on a calendar... hard copy type to hang on wall... mark/indicate the days and distance to be walked... and make it a priority...

I'm walking 20 minute miles with my dog, 18 minute miles without.

TomM

Three miles this morning.  My miles are about 16 minutes, and the dog is along.  She moves a lot faster and out ahead of me on the way home.  She dawdles behind me on the way out... I'd say my 16 minutes is sort of brisk for me...The other day I was a few minutes slower. I am sure I'd walk faster with someone who walks faster, but I am not all that tall and walking faster is not enjoyable for me... I just don't like walking so fast that I feel like I am almost running.  I am not sure my knees would like that anyhow.

That is a good pace, I think 15/16 minutes would be very good for me. I enjoy walking by myself and not having to worry about keeping up with someone else. I like to just walk and enjoy the view and not make it a race.  I also enjoy no music just to sounds of the world around me.  TomM, keep up the walking, it is an enjoyable way to spend an hour a day

I should be able to easily get to 25 miles this week, and that is without waling on Sunday. I

TomM

That is great!  Don't know if I will get to those weekly high totals, but maybe... Did a new route on Friday morning though and time went faster.
Finished week (Monday-Saturday) with 1 on Thursday, 2.4 Friday and 1 today (Saturday)...  Total of 10.4 Not sure what I will do tomorrow.  I am planning (in my head) to do a 4 and a 5 and a 6 eventually.  I have easy routes that are dog friendly (no attack dogs along the way).

Looks like you are getting out each day. That's good.I would suggest a morning walk and an evening walk if you want to get to 4 or 6 miles. I have a 1 1/2 mile with a hill and a 2 mile that is flat - I like the 2 mile walk.
