The belittlement is the suggestion that he isn't or doesn't have the potential to be a D1 wrestler.  Not to hard to figure that out, especially coming from a bitter dude you appear to be

I don't think anyone was belittling any athlete, well at least in my eyes.

Not having any contact with the states athletes isn't anything new, though Bono has tried and landed a few of the states better wrestlers. Bono probably has a type of athlete he prefers and that is up to him and he has been getting some of those.
