Huge pin for Medberry! Way to go big boy! Way to avenge previous defeat! Taylor back in form! Nice win over a tough opponent!
Badgers move from 10th to 9th! Glad to see Morrison go down to Brewer. Morrison would have been a tough out for Graff. Things are looking good. We need some more wins in the wrestlebacks! Go Badgers!
Lubeck wins 12-3, Badgers in 8th place...
Awesome job Lubeck! Kid is tough and almost beat Sakaguchi. Big time upside for Lubeck! Solid AA finish should be his goal for next year! Not a terrible draw tomorrow. Has he beat Grothus this year? No doubt he can with a good match.

No, but he was knocking on the door at the B1G when they wrestled.
Scott Liegel loses 12-3 to end his NCAA tourney run...
It was a pleasure to watch you battle the last couple of years and make it to the NCAA's this year...

It was a true pleasure to watch you all the way through your amateur career.
Jackson Hein loses 7-1 ... and ends his Badger career as a two time NCAA Qualifier... a true leader for the team ...
Dang, Liegel and Hein go down. Badgers still holding tough in 8th. We need to score points tomorrow big time!
Shane Hughes wins in the wrestlebacks!
UW will have a lot of tough matchups today.
Taylor has Cox, then Dance/Youtsey, then likely Lambert to AA. I would like to say Taylor is just a step above all 3, but all 3 will be tough matches as well. Hope he can go on a run.
Graff has Brewer. If he wins he will get a rematch with Colon. Ramos has not been overly impressive in his 2 wins so far.
Lubeck has Grothus..who is ranked top 15. Grothus is good, but with how well Lubeck is wrestling he could pull it off.
Jordan has Miller..who he lost a close one to earlier in the year.
McCall has Bonaccorsi..who will be tough but can be beat if he wrestles well.
Medberry has Nelson. If he loses to Nelson he will likely have to face McMullan. Hope he can get one of those to AA...both very tough...
Nice breakdown. RT definitely has a really tough road. The match with Cox will be high scoring for sure. If he comes out on top of that one, the next 2 aren't stopping him.
Rylan looks great! Such an impressive performance he has put on thus far. I believe the dual came down to the last few seconds in a 1 point match. A win here would definitely hurt Iowa in the team race as well - so let's go Rylan!
Graff should roll. Zeke's match will be a fun one. Timmy can get it done. If Connor gets to the offense like he did against Felix, he can beat either of those two.
Interesting note: Sueflohn will likely have to go through Villalonga and then Grajales to AA. Rutt will have to go through Boley right away this morning, then the winner of Atwood/Polizzi and then the loser of Gadson/Schiller in order to AA.
He has had that leg fully taped most of the year. I'm not sure on the exact initial injury that warranted the taping, but I don't think it's anything serious.
I agree it is great to see Lubeck wrestling so tough. Looking forward to see him finish up this year as well as watching him progress over the next 3 years.
can't get the cameras working on espn3
Taylor wins 11-7 and Graff wins 9-6 !!!!!!!!!!!
be nice if they showed some other quarters... at 141 Stieber is done early but they don't show Carter or Rutherford?? Top 2 seeds or nothing?
Awesome! Taylor with Dance and then Patterson. Does Taylor have any history against Dance?
Jag,go to watchespn u can pick what mat 1-8 to watch and current and upcoming matches are scolling below match that you are watching so its easy to see what mat you would like to switch to.
The good Lord giveth....
Jordan goes down and Lubeck knocks off Iowa.
Lubeck wins 3-1
Jordan loses 6-2
Are Graff, Luebeck, Taylor and Jordan each1 win away from assuring AA status?
Trying to work and follow this is nuts! RT is a good friend and you guys are keeping me in the loop! THANK YOU!!!!
Connor gets pinned in the first period by Nelson

Graff, by virtue of making the semis, is a lock for AA. I believe Jordan and Medbery (who just lost) is one win away from AA while Taylor and Lubeck (and McCall if he wins) are two wins away from AA.
Timmy loses 6-2
Lubeck and Taylor are currently in the Round of 16
Jordan and Medbery in the Round of 12
What happened? Anyone see the match?

Connor gets pinned in the first period by Nelson
Nelson took Medberry down right away to his back, Meberry fought off his back, Nelson turned him and pinned him. I think it was 1:46 or 1:26 or something like that.
Nelson was lifting, trying to finish a single. Connor tried to roll through and got caught on his back. He fought off his back, but Nelson kept the far arm and drove him over for the pin.
Joey Dance hit with a stalling point looked like no time on the clock. RT into OT....lost on a td.
shoot
Taylor and Lubeck both go down and out.
Lubeck goes 2-2 with an OT loss and a 1 point loss... not bad...

I've been VERY impressed with Lubeck the past several weeks. The cat is a scrapper. Another young'un to look forward to watching the next several years.
Thanks to the Tyler Graff and Company, the Badgers continue to rack up points and are ahead of rival Michigan.

What happened at the end of Medbery's match to where McMullin picked up a point in the waning seconds?
Thought Connor lost 2-3. Didn't know there was anything at the end. Very close to getting a TD a couple of times. Wished Connor would not have left position he was in when McMullan got his TD.
Good season Connor. 10-15 more pounds of muscle and watch out everyone next year.
According to Track, they were both on their feet and the score was 1-1 with 30 seconds left. Somehow McMullin got another point. Stalling on Medbery? Somehow a point was awarded in that situation and I don't know what happened.
No Nat,
I watched it. Connor gave up a TD and then he got an escape. Lost 2-3
Sometimes the track score updates get a little funky. :P

Ahh, okay - thanks.
And Green destroys Jordan 15-0?? Yikes! How does that happen?
So Graff going for the championship and Jordan going for 7th?
Correct.
Started with a double by Green that was defended well by Zeke but then Green converted on the edge and had a hip tilt Dang near the carpet, so started 5-0 about a minute in. Zeke exposed himself a little more tiring to come back and Green was hip tilting and got in on a double leg and tilt to end it. A 5-0 lead at this 157 class is basically a match-ender if your name isn't Dylan Ness, so Zeke opened up way more than he probably wanted to. He will wrestle for 7th and is an AA as a freshman. Still pretty impressive, being Tyler became only the 4th 4x AA in Badger history. Zeke is on pace to be the 5th.
Totally agree! I love watching Lubeck. He will be a serious threat next year after tasting success! He could have easily been one of the huge surprises in the tourney if he had won that OT match with Sakaguchi. He's all about the offense. I love it!

Can Lubeck get down to 41 if Thielke goes 33?
My impression of this years NCAA tournament is just how tough Minnesota was in the upper weights. They had total studs, one after another.
Penn State being even better. The Badgers finished in 16th place and 8th best in the Big Ten(7th place at the Big Tens-Northwestern moved ahead of us at nationals).
Time to start thinking about next years lineup! WI will have a good dual meet team but it will depend on Jordan to make the team competitive at nationals
and Medbery will have a good shot at moving up the pecking order at Heavyweight. Taylor and Lubeck appear to have solid careers ahead of them. I sure hope Ryan Christensen is ready to
perform early in his career, as he was this years highest rated blue chip recruit. Robertson should be ready to go next season.
