Madeline island, red cliff, and chequmegon bay for a few, I haven't been there in several weeks but I'll bet the leaves are starting to turn and looking across the bay towards Washburn from downtown Ashland will be beautiful.

Try to hit Amnicon Falls state park, it's a quick little stroll, doesn't take long to see all of it, but a really cool place. great stop off for a picnic lunch or dinner.
