Good new Bono interview:

He does very well at promoting the program.  It must have been really tough to go through the tragedy that happened as he is just getting to know all the guys.  Having to go through that at the same time as bringing in his philosophy to coaching the team and getting them ready for next year.

Good to hear he is high on Hillger.

I assume Mason will be at 197 now and 174/184 will be a combination of RC and Covaciu (who are both at least mentioned by name in the latest Bono interview).

I know Mason was planning on 184 so wonder if he will stick to plan. If he sticks at 84 would our 197 be Wetter? But I think our best lineup would be Covaciu at 74, Christensen 84, and Reinhardt at 97. Covaciu has had some good wins and I think Christensen would have more success at 84.

Looks like no one had this year's lineup correct.

Bummer.

...because we all had Hunter Ritter in our lineups, at 197.

Why is he leaving?

They all would have a few months to gain some weight to get to the higher weights.  I would think it would make sense to have Reinhardt at 197, and and Covaciu/Christensen at 174 and 184.

That's too bad. I think Hunter is going to miss out on a great opportunity with this coaching staff.  Good luck to him in the future.  Maybe he will follow Brandvold or Ruschell.  Next man up!

Could see him also going to Maryland his home state.

Months is not nearly enough time to gain enough muscle mass to move up a weight class and be a legitimate competitor at that higher weight.  It is easy to gain weight just not muscle.

Reinhardt was a full sized 197 last year.  I doubt he was already down to where he would want to be at for 184 next year.  If he was, then maybe he does stay at 184.

Christensen and Covaciu were already both good sized 174's, so only one of them will have to move up to 184.  That is UW's really only option, other than not redshirting Krattiger. Bono said he wanted to redshirt all the incoming freshman.

Reinhardt isn't down to 184. He was a full sized 197 even as of this spring.

I surely hope that Coach Bono hops on this forum and makes his decisions based on all this rhetoric.  ::)

Good leaders have a plan before a plan is even needed.   R.E.L.A.X.

It's just something for us wrestling fans to talk about in the off season.

Anyone know Ritter removed from line up??

bigG

He's not on the current roster. I sure don't know why. Just know THAT.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

Where is Liegel going?

Not sure, though I have my hunches. I was only told to not bet on UW. I sure do hope that changes though, as winning tends to change things. I think he's going to be a multi-time All-American.

I hope he does have the success you think he will have, but what success has he had nationally that make you think he will be a multi-time AA?
