Title: Best public Toilets around?
Post by: easytopin on January 18, 2015, 07:12:06 PM
Still have to vote for Kohls...but Cabella's that opened last year in Rapid City gets a rave review for me.  Scheels here has all the stalls first and basically hidden urinals so I am always nervous that I stepped into the women's bathroom.  Don't know if this counts but "The Lodge" casino in Deadwood SD is awesome as well.

I'm a rustic kind of guy, so the outhouses at Crooked Lake, near Finland, MN, get my vote...   and I've used the facilities in Kohl's, The Lodge, and Cabella's.  Of course, my sense of smell is all but gone, so that might disqualify my vote.   ;D

My boy and once I actually spent opening week fishing at Crooked Lake Resort.  There was still snow on the ground and the ice just went out a couple days before we arrived.  We had frost every night.  Every cabin has its own outhouse.  Haul your water from a central pump.  Heat your cabin with a wood stove.  Shower at a central shower made of stone, which is also connected to a sauna.  Awesome fishing for walleyes and big smallies!  The place is open for snowmobilers all winter, too.  Prices are very reasonable, also.

Sold!! I'd pay just to poop there.  ;)

Most people are favroably impressed with the facilities at my school. Nothing fancy; but clean and cozy.

Good idea!  Charge the public for the privilege, in the name of school funding.

Anybody lay paper down first?  I don't have that kind of time to waste...i guess I live dangerously.

A friend of mine had the pleasure of using the public toilets in China.  Squatting over a hole in the floor is darn tough on your legs, if you're a senior citizen and not used to doing deep squats.  Standing back up is reportedly a real challenge.  The bright side is that no laying of paper is necessary.

Glad I have been blessed with a good regular system. I very rarely have to make that run for the border in public places and if I do, usually I am getting sick.

But, yes paper is a must and is used by me if needed to go. Does anyone every lift the seat any more to take a whiz?

No; only when I leave one.
