It looks like they cannot add another wrestler according to the rules.

The rule book is unclear to me whether they will re-seed or re-draw.

Yeah, just read that the deadline was 5pm on Sunday to be able to redraw. But the rules don't say anything about a re-seed after that. I'm thinking with it being a day before and everything that goes into it, they will give the Buffalo kid a FF win and not bump up seeds.

Where did you read they do not re-draw?  The Sunday deadline appears to refer to replacements.  I copied this link from themat.com forum

That's where I'm getting my info from. I guess I'm just reading a lot of different info. Nothing concrete yet. It'd be nice if the NCAA would put out a tweet or change the brackets. It was announced 3 hours ago and I'd assume they have some protocol for this.

That severely hurts there chances at a national team title

Can I re-do my bracket tiebreaker criteria?   >:(

In my opinion, they have to re-seed and redraw and just eliminate the pig tail.  To me bringing 33 is silly anyway.

Everyone in the bracket would be affected the same based on a scouting perspective.

Maintaining the balance and integrity of the bracket is much more important to me than assigning last minute opponents.  But it is getting very late in the process so they would have had to done it already and maybe it has not been announced?   Highly doubtful of a change now

Just tweeted Shane Sparks to see if we could get any inside info from our local star
Of Course, this is only my opinion and no one elses!

All of the primary posters on themat.com are saying the 125 bracket is not changing. Locked Sunday at 5PM EDT.

So if Penn ST makes decision earlier it would have allowed the Oklahoma St wrestler move from the #8 seed to the #7 and to opposite side of the bracket.  Not sure how else it might effect team points with Ohio St and Oklahoma St.

Ohio ST is not expected to score much but without Suriano the Oklahoma St wrestler might finish higher now and could earn a few more points?  If seeds hold, the OK st wrestler will lose in quarters to #1 and then will have an easier match in the round of 12 so more likely to place.
