 Just had a good buddy and ref call me and inform me that the Price family wrestlers were honered tonight in East Troy for all they do/did for Troy wrestling, I was really taken back when he told me how many championships they share between them...congrats boys!...

I was at the match last night.  Not only did they honor the Price Brothers, their Mom and Sister were also honored for their support, and their Dad was recognized for how much he supported his son's by going to all of the tournaments over the years.  A pretty special night in East Troy !!

Here is a list of the Price's Wrestling Accomplishments at East Troy:

Dan, State Qualifier, 138 lbs, 1971 (First State Qualifier for East Troy)
Bill, 5th Place at State, 138 lbs, 1976
Carl, 2nd Place at State, 167 lbs, 1982
Dean, 2nd Place at State, 167 lbs, 1983
Dean, State Champ, 167 lbs, 1984 (First State Champ in School History)
Ted, State Champ, 167 lbs, 1985

A combined 44 Conference, Regional, Sectional, and State Titles for the Price Family !!

I believe Carl took second 2 years in a row. 1981 at 155 and 1982 at 167.  Losing both times to Ralph Liegel in the finals. Ted also took third the year before he won it.

You are correct.  According to the rvwrestlingalum.com website state tournament programs, Carl took 2nd at 155 in 1981 and Ted took 3rd at 145 in 1983.

Incredible !!  No wonder the name "Price" is what I associated the team "East Troy" with !!
