Brady Koontz Eyeing U23 Title
U23 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeye heavyweight pair of Greg Kerkvliet and Chase Singletary, and Brady Koontz are off to Budapest, Hungary to compete in the 2019 U23 World Wrestling Championships (Oct. 28-Nov 3). All three will be donning the Stars & Stripes in representing the United States.
Singletary will be the first Buckeye to take the mat as the 97-kilogram qualification rounds begin right away on Oct. 28. Kerkvliet starts a day later as 125-kilogram action gets rolling on Oct. 29. Koontz, competing in Greco-Roman at 55 kilograms, is set for a Nov. 1 qualification rounds date.
