Can Maki upset Winchel again?
And is Slater going to be back?
I think he'd be good to go so long as his baseline is okay.
Hound, you gonna be there?
I was gonna hit the ice during the AM. I'll probably be around town after noon. I heard the fish haven't been hittin' real well, yet; so I might be back earlier. Just itchin' to get out and catch something.
I'll take
106 Bailey - Sparta
113 Phillips - ECN
120 Schlegel - SVE
126 McManus - A-F
132 Dischler - W-I
138 Von Ruden - Sparta
145 Winchel - Sparta
152 Hurlburt - SVE
160 Hemauer - Def.
170 Schlegel - SVE
182 Burrows - A-F
195 Hahn - Reed
220 Hofacker - SVE
HWT Reuth - Neils.

This is madness.
No, this is SPARTA!
Sorry. Had to do it. ;D
Like the picks other than 182. Woodward already has a win over Burrows and I'd favor Rauls over him also. 152 is gonna be worth the price of admission alone.
Thank you for compiling a list of ranked kids! Nice to see, at a glance, who will be there. My son's bracket is 152, and stacked! Should be a good time.
Also, I would bet my lunch that Maki does not beat Winchel again.

Oh my Mommabear. You are going to have a stressful day. Good Luck and thanks for supporting your wrestler.
Unless I'm missing something. @ 170# D-3 #6 Lance Buckles also. Very deep brackets.
I thought New Lisbon was suppose to be at Sparta I don't see them now?
Is Winchel's only loss to Maki?? I'm sure he's hungry for redemption!
Tourney looks like a great day!

Woody, I don't get stressed watching my son wrestle, but I am stressed that I can't watch my other son who is competing in Wausau at the challenge series. Sadly, I can't tear myself in two to watch them both. He will be in good hands with Dad up there with him.
The competition at Sparta looks to be top notch! We are the host school so I hope everyone has a great time!! Also, a Von Ruden-Jahn matchup should be a good one.
what wt did the young Maki wrestle the last few yrs?....

He also lost to Marko.
Bailey is at 113. Should be a great match with him and Phillips. Plus Sarbarker in that bracket and the Neillsville wrestler only has one loss.

Looks like you owe us some lunch. Wow... Maki does it again. Anyone there to tell us how the match went?
Maki: 2 takedowns and 1 escape
Winchel: 3 escapes and 1 stalling point
Great match to watch with Maki in control the majority of the time.
will he be staying @113 Josh?...I know you know wrestling Josh, but the young Klein from Stoughton will be tough to beat @ 113 and the Young Home Town Kid, Shea, who had a Loss the Woods in the 113 lb Championship at the Devork a few weeks back and won the Bob Lueders Tournament yesterday In Clinton Iowa @106 maybe in that mix as well... :)....
jmo,Come state tournament time Div1 113lbs will be 1 of if not the deepest wt classes,my pic is either klein or koontz.

Phillips beats Bailey and Sarbacker!!! Great wins for the Rooster! My pick for D1 state champ 113, probably undefeated.
Love to see the underdog come out on top.

I wouldn't call Phillips the underdog. He's the real deal. He will be close to the top, if not there, come end of February.

Phillips was not an underdog. Last year he placed 5th at state D1. Bailey a nice freshman and Sarbacker DNP last year.
I know he wasn't the underdog at Sparta, but at state he will be to Klien and Koontz...I think i'll be rooting for Koontz, he's a junior without a state title and hungry to prove he's worthy of it.
But, i'll be happy for whoever wins it
Yes, We will get to see two of the top 113's Koontz and Phillips go at it at sectionals.
