Whoever said they need some bonus points was right on.  6 points from Jordan and 4 points from Medbery was the difference.

Great Match to attend.  Yes, it is not a wrestling "venue" but there was some good atmosphere tonight, especially during Cox's match!  Even though they lost, Scott L and Timmy McCall wrestled extremely tough and very easily could have won!  TJ looked like an All American, he stepped up huge!  Jordan is a Hammer!!!  Great dual!!

Something tells me Barry is going to have the boys fired up tonight, and they are going to pull off the upset, and knock off illinois 19-18.

Who called that?  Lol

Pretty impressive there leg turk.

Great match to see. I hope they can get RT and JT focused to move on to MSU. JT got burned. I thought he had the guys turned for 2 at least once if not both times and had them waved off. Jordan was get to watch. Not sure if I have ever seen a college guy give up like the IL guy. Graff and CM were steady. Ruschell win was huge. Cox did what he needed to do. Timmy was in it and Leigel had a shot too. Great night for the Badgers. Now go get MSU!

Must've been pretty cool for TJ to dominate Fahey the way he did. Fahey was a dominant KY wrestler and won multiple state titles ahead of TJ.
Sandy said that TJ had never beaten the Fahey so he had to be pumped that he wins and looked solid.

fun match to attend.  rt got pounded.  that shell really is a dump.  i wish they had a better venue for those boys tonight.

If they can pull out a win against a higher ranked opponent I don't care if they wrestle in a dump ;)
Maybe they can change the venue for the Iowa dual.

i hear ya!  just wanted some popcorn :)

He did more than beat the kid, he dominated him!  What did he have, 5 minutes of riding time??

I thought it was an incredible dual!

Leigel out wrestled his opponent tonight and got out of position towards the end of the match. That is a match Scott should win next time.

Jackson wrestled great coming off of injury. Constantly pushing. Gotta love it.

Timmy McCall wrestled incredible against the Big Ten Champ from two years ago! Thought he was going to get it at the end. If he continues to wrestle like that he can pick up some more W's

Medbury got after it in the third period to get bonus points for the team.

Even though Taylor's match was quick, I have to give him credit for going out there not afraid of the returning National Champ. Wish we could have watched more of it to see how Taylor stacked up against Delgado.

Graff did well against a tough Zane Richards. Close to bonus but couldn't quite get there. He had some very slick takedowns in that third period to separate himself.

Thielke has really improved on his top position. He rode his opponent well but quick near fall in the last few seconds prevented him from at least getting to overtime.

TJ RUSCHELL - close to five minutes of riding time?? The kid is a beast on top! I was very impressed with him. He was posed and mature out there tonight. Well done TJ.

Zeke - what can I say. This kid is something special. I have never witnessed someone break someone like that in college. He is always in good position and is tough as nails. Love the energy and enthusiasm he has!

Ben Cox did a great job of keeping it to a regular decision. I would have like to see him be more aggressive but he wrestled well.

Overall, the team really bounced back from their loss at UNI. They came prepared and hungry for battle! Congrats guys you deserve it!

Zeke has a little more of his dad's nastiness in him than some realize.     Nicest person ever until ya step on the mat.

Curious about RT's match details.  Was it pretty much he was taken down, turned and pinned?

RT shot single leg, Delgado counters then cradles him for eventual pin. Happened fast. :(
Proud of Bucky! Wish Timmy would of beat Gonzales!!

Taylor was aggressive and took it to Delgado right off the whistle.  Unfortunately, as the old saying (or rap quote goes ;D) "if you come at the Champ, you better not miss".  I think RT's shot was just a little off allowing Delgado to counter in a way he could set up a quick cradle.  He was a bit taller than RT and it allowed for a farside off the counter.

Was I the only one a little turned off that Delgado walked all the way up to the UW huddle during introductions to shake RT's hand?  Maybe that happens a lot, seems like most people wait somewhere around the middle of the mat?

Either way, RT is going to be a great Badger wrestler, look forward to watching him for 4 years!
