Tonight #3 Rapids vs #3 Lodi Plus Honoring Lewie & Joyce Benitz

Should be a great night of wrestling in Rapids tonight with things getting started with D1 #3 Rapids taking on Stevens Point followed by Rapids honoring Lewie and Joyce Benitz, followed by Rapids hosting D2 #3 Lodi.  The dual between Rapids and Lodi features 17 wrestlers that are ranked or HM/WL by WIwrestle and Wisconsin Grappler.

Lewie Benitz passed away in November, for the few who don't know of Lewie, he's known by many as one of the greatest wrestling coaches Wisconsin has ever seen.  Benitz spent more than 40 years as the wrestling coach in Rapids and was honored with many awards throughout that time, including inductions into the Halls of Fame for Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and the National Federation of State High School Associations.  Lewie had 700 dual meet victories and 17 state titles during his time as coach.
