Title: Lots to be excited about
Post by: Recon on March 16, 2022, 09:09:57 PM
I hope everyone who follows the Badgers and Wisconsin wrestling enjoys the next three days. It has been quite awhile since this state has had this much talent to cheer for. The Badgers have had a very good season... and now they go into the tournament with three wrestlers seeded in the top six at their weight (and another two time all American). Then, we have several Wisconsin natives among the very best at their weight class. Correct what I'm missing but here are the Badgers and Wisconsin natives among the top talent going in at these weights:
125 Eric Barnett (6th seed)
149 Austin Gomez (3rd seed)
165 Dean Hamiti (4th seed)
165 Keegan O'Toole (2nd seed)
** 165 Evan Wick (1st seed) - a Wisconsin guy still?
184 Parker Kekeisen (4th seed)
197 Stephen Buchanan (2nd seed)

Add in the rest of the Badgers talent and other great Wisconsin products like Mason Kaufman and the next few days are going to be fun to watch!  Good luck to everyone and if you are traveling to Detroit safe travels.

Mocco is getting more healthy every day I think he beats Plott r2 and finds the podium.

You meant Kauffman beats Plott round 2 right?
