That's awesome that so many kids are going out.

Good luck to all these dudes.
As long as we are keeping score, I've got something to prove

Crazy to think out of 30 something kids WI sent we only got 3. Toughest HS tournament in the nation, but still thought we would keep at least a couple more. I did see California only got 3 and they are known to be a very high level wrestling state.

Luke Mechler lost 4-3 to the 7th ranked kid in the blood round. So many close matches. The skill of the kids placing is amazing. Some of it is raw physical talent, but these top kids have spent a lot of time in the practice room honing their skills. Askren claims talent doesn't matter. I think he is about 3/4 right just watching the incredible skill of the top wrestlers. How many club kids that only wrestle do PA, NJ and OH have compared to WI?

Look at this article covering wrestling in Iowa about the Super 32!  The coverage is great, but also it states that Drake Ayala is only the second wrestler in the history of Iowa to win Super 32.

Two points:  1) This puts into perspective the toughness of this pre-season folkstyle tournanment.  2) We will likely not get this kind of coverage in newspapers.  We need to organize, reach out to regional newspapers, and submit articles for their consideration to modify or publish as is.

Does anyone know many champs WI had at Super 32 over the years?

Wisconsin also had 3 middle schoolers place.  Tristan Steldt (2nd) , Haakon Peterson (4th), and Caleb Noble (4th)
