The WIAA does not look at geography to set up all events. An example of that is WR coming so far east for so many years. Combining 2 regionals just makes so much more sense. I'm shocked no one whines that three kids get to state in todays wrestling world....many probably used to.  Only reason a 3rd was added was for WISAA which added very little to the wrestling in Wisconsin.  So every kid  that ever took 3rd at a D3 or D2 sectional kind of catches a break that the WIAA thought the WISAA addition was enough to give another spot at state.  ;D
