yes but that was 2 years ago, he doesn't even train it anymore and at fargo Benji Peak and Tyler Dow have always done better.  Also truck is a schoolboy Pan-Am champ. :-\

Hard to have a list of Greco wrestlers and omit the Koontz twins.  They have always been perceived as Greco specialists first.

Wisconsin has a lot of great Greco kids.  Lucas has a whole bunch of guys he is training at Combat that will be forces. Its hard to put out a list of the top when so many wreslters at so many different age groups and weights.

It's very strenuous!

Opinions are not facts. Because two people differ in opinions doesn't make one of them wrong.

Based on what?  A Fargo final in 2015?  Peak also made a Cadet final in 2015, while one of the koontz boys was in the Junior finals.  Yes, Alston Nutter is a great greco wrestler, and a great kid, and he has been at the USOEC this year focusing on just Greco, so one could assume he has made big jumps compared to everyone else.  I will wait to see upcoming results before crowning anyone. Last year he dealt with an injury, so we really don't know how much progress he has made.  I guess we'll see at the Jr, World Trials and perhaps Fargo.

I'll stick Provisor as #1 in Greco.  Medberry #1 in freestyle... Sorry, couldn't resist...

Well you pretty much answered your own question. Plus isn't Peak out for Greco/free this year with an injured shoulder?

The year after Fargo both coming off second place finishes Benji Peak teched Koontz in the first period I remember watching it and as for Alston he doesn't wrestle for Wisconsin he wrestles for michigan so he is out of the equation

Yes! Good post. Won't end the quibbling; but that was good. Exciting to see how Nutter does; but if he wrestles for MI now; I guess he'd be out of the equation.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

I would hardly consider anything that happened at the DeForest tournament/camp a true test.  A very relaxed atmosphere, and they just group guys, no real weight classes. He was giving up about 12 lbs. that day.... I do feel very bad for Benji.  I know he lives for Greco and is out this summer with an injury. It will be interesting to see where everyone lands as far as weight classes for state.  Then, we'll also see some interesting match ups we didn't see during the high school season.

Jimmy

I say world champ Dennis Hall for Greco.

bigoil

Ha,  I would love to see some of the scuffles between Ben and Dennis.
