I thought that both Dean and IMar were way too tentative in the tournament. If IMar was t Imar, I believe he would have been hanged for stalling against Jordan in the semis. Did nothing.

My friend that watched on TV said that almost to a man, the Penn State kids all said the mantra is to have fun. Imar was not having fun.

They both looked like they were wrestling not to lose.

PSU was loose warming up and let it hang out.

And IMar was gassing.  I think that's why he went for the throw in the 3rd.

Wasn't IMar winning when he went for the throw?  I can't recall now, but I think so.

He did just what he said he had to guard against: letting his emotions make the calls. Dean looked tightly wound, too. Too tight to pull the trigger.
I was very impressed at the growth of Nickal, though. That's not the type of match that he is accustomed to; and he kept his nose to the grindstone and won a close one. Tight score; but his dominance was there. At no point did I feel gabe had an advantage. Chance to win; but never an advantage over Nickal.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

Me, too. But that's why I gotta give Nickal some serious props.
