Don't like not playing all teams every year ... and I don't like divisions within conferences.

10 allows play with all teams every year ... 3 non-conf. games (too many) ... and a conference championship game.

14 could allow play with all teams every year ... with no non-conference games and no conference championship game (which ain't gonna happen).

12 allows play with all teams every year & 1 non-conf./"warm-up" game (for which it should be possible to find a not-too-offensive-to the-committee opponent)

13 would allow play with all teams every year ... with no non-conference games ... and a championship between the 2 teams with the best records against the top 6 finishers (there would need to be a tie-breaker plan ... net points in those games ... least personal foul penalties:) in those games ... etc.)

I know it won't happen - but it's nice to dream.

You know there are 14 teams in the Big Ten, right? There are.

Some conferences play 8 games, some play 9. We play 9. Six in our division and three from the other division.

Just an FYI.

Understood - hence the use of the word "could ... rather than does.
