EL's December schedule looks correct. They will be in Wrightstown Tuesday night watching the RL/Wrightstown dual. EL will see Wrightstown 12/7 and will face RL quite a few times between now and the State Tournament. Good luck to RL Tuesday. We are confident you will represent yourself and the conference well.
Cedar Grove is also at Wabeno Tourney Dec 14.
Ozaukee looked really impressive at Watertown. Kraus, Large, and Beckmann all took 1st, Hughes and Gottsacker took 2nd. Nearly full lineup with lots of guys scoring team points. They also finished ahead of Mineral Point which is a huge deal!
Random Lake overmatched the competition at Janesville, going 35-4 in wrestled matches.
Elkhart it seems had a good day. Bonebrake beat (pinned) Josh Verbetten from Wrightstown in the championship match and lots of other EL kids finished 3rd, 4th or 5th.
Anyone details on how CG looked at Lomira? Also a scouting report on Lomira would be good... Ozaukee sees them at Regionals and we will all see them at Sectionals.
Just a plug for the dual at Random Lake tonight. Johnson Creek brings in 4 state qualifiers, 2 of whom placed last year. When you combine that with Random Lake's 8 returners with state experience, 5 of whom have hardware... you are bound to get some interesting matchups.
Ozaukee beats Milwaukee Riverside/ Shorewood tonight 47-20. Some good matches . Riverside had to many forfeits but actually edged Ozaukee in matches wrestled 5 to 4 .
Congrats to Oostburg's Coach Rogers for earning his 300th dual victory against Kewaskum last night. Score was 48-36 I believe. People see the dual meet wins but what impresses me more is coaching that many seasons, that many nights of practice, and always putting a good team on the mat. We'll done coach!

Impressive to say the least. Congrats Steve!
300 wins is crazy impressive. At the rate I am going, I'll get there when I'm 117 years old. Congratulations to coach Rogers.

Nothing but dual tourneys for WFB from here out!?!?
Oostburg looked good at the Viking invite yesterday. It looks like they changed that to a scramble format... Or maybe it always was and I just didn't know it. Loo mans, Katzer, Ebeling, and Hackel all took first. Burmesch and Blok took second.
For Ozaukee, I see they were without Krause and Gottsacker. Any info?
Chase Kraus was sick and has missed a bit of school . Colton Kraus sat out due to Dr. orders , and should be back soon . Gottsacker should be back for next weekend .
Cedar Grove finished 7th at the 18 team Wabeno Rebel Invite. Abel(106) and Isaac(120) Brockman both finished 2nd.
Looks like Greg Wenzel didn't wrestle. Is he hurt?
Otherwise nice showing by the Rockets.
Wenzel was out with a shoulder injury. He should be back soon. He couldn't have helped the Rockets much last night though. 74-0 thumping by the Rams. Ouch!
RL had an impressive showing at Marty Loy. They finished behind only #4 ranked Sauk Prairie, but beat the 6,7,8,9 ranked D1 teams. Jon Mudlaff took 2nd, Brandon Depies, Verbanac, and Anklam all took 3rd; Gottsacker and Klein both took 4th; Josh Depies took 6th; and Stepniewski took 7th.
Oostburg walked through their own tournament; winning by 25 points over Marshfield. Loomans, katzer, Blok, and Rogers all took 1st; Burmesch and Ebeling took 2nd; Jonah Frier and AJ Roberts took 4th.

Nice job Random...you coaches do a great job developing wrestlers. I always cheer for Random....when they are not wrestling Port. ;)
Ozaukee comes home in 7th overall out of 43 teams at the Mid - States and was the highest finishing D-3 school . Cole Large makes the finals and looses to a ranked D - 1 kid . Kevin Beckman takes 3rd and goes over 100 career wins during the weekend . Colton Kraus takes 5th loosing to ranked D-1 and D -2 kids . Colin Hughes and Taz Gottsacker both take 6th place . We were without a 113 lb and 120 wrestler .
Cedar Grove finished in 27th place. Greg Wenzel (5th place) was their only finisher.
Random Lake takes 3rd at the 59-team Oshkosh on the Water tournament. 9 wrestlers place in the top 12
Reed Anklam 2nd
Brandon Depies 3rd
Trent Gottsacker 4th
Levi Kohn 5th
Adam Risse 6th
Zak Stepniewski 8th
Jacob Behn 8th
Nick Klein 8th
Jon Mudlaff 9th
The Rams finished 28 points behind Coleman with Wittenberg-Birnamwood sandwiched in between those two. Great wrestling all weekend. Happy New Year to everyone!
