"2017 SLINGER INVITE"
Middle School Team Wrestling Tournament
Slinger High School, Slinger, Wisconsin
(12-03-17)
This tournament was started because the coaches here at Slinger feel part our job as Middle School Coaches was to get our wrestlers ready for the next level.  Why not give wrestlers the experience of what it's like to compete like the Varsity!

TOURNAMENT PROCEEDURES
TOURNAMENT RULES
•             Periods are 1-1-1
•             Over-Time Rule: Using High School Rules
•             A wrestler is only allowed to move up one weight class from their recorded weight.  Exception is heavyweight.
•             HWT WRESTLER TOURNAMENT RULE:  If there is more than a 20 pound difference in weight of the competing wrestlers, for safety & liability reasons, they will not be able to wrestle each other.   Both teams will receive 6 Team Points.
•             Team has the option to wrestle any eligible wrestler.
•             TEAMS will be seeded by the # of Wrestlers you have that can naturally fill the weight classes.

EXHIBITION MATCHES:
We will have a separate 4 man round robin exhibition tournament that will run in conjunction with the dual tournament. Wrestlers will be placed in brackets with similar skill level and weight. No wrestler is allowed to wrestle the Team match and then wrestle an exhibition.
ROUND ROBIN BRACKET
We will be using a round robin format this year with 5 guaranteed duals. Smaller teams from last year have been eliminated for better competition.
