This was the definition of a total team effort. RT with the fall was obviously huge. G2 did a great job of staying in that match - believe it was 6-1 after the first period. I still think TJ got the bad end of that no-call, but the rest of the team picked it up and Johnny brought it home. He lost to McCabe last year - i think this is a good sign that Johnny is building right now.

Rutgers wrestling captures trophy in win vs. Princeton

What are the chances the Badgers get the win against Rutgers? I was way more confident a couple weeks ago. I'm starting to get a little wobbly. This would be a nice win for the Badgers.

Should be tight. I would expect a 6-4 (either way) or 5-5 match. Rutgers favored at 41, 57, 97, and Hwt. UW favored at 33, 65, and 74. Toss ups at 25, 49, and 84. Might need JJ, AC, and RC to come up with wins. Certainly capable.

I think Rutgers will take 7 or 8 of 10 with bonus points at 2 weights.

Hmmm...

Based on how the team was wrestling and the match-ups and being in NJ this was the probable outcome. I also didn't know if RR was wrestling as he did not last time out. We only won 3 of the matches by 5 points... if they wrestle it again I could be right the next time.

Do you see us ahead of them at the B1G?

If my aunt had a set she would be my uncle!

say what you wish, we will see where they finish in a month.

one td or reversal goes the other way in 3 matches and we lose the dual... we did everything right and everything went our way, it was a great team effort but lets not act like we where not a big dog going into it
I am not in danger, I AM the danger!

Did you watch the dual?

I prefer to think a switch was turned on and they will wrestle well the rest of the season.

Can you just let us savor the win for a while before you start bringing us down ;)

Hey Jag, Is it too much for you to let people enjoy a nice team win!
Once you take me down, your mine!

We were also one bad call away from winning 21-12. Great team win by Badgers! Rowh wrestled well against Ashnault as well. Very impressed with how the Badgers kept wrestling they finished periods and EARNED their points!

I watched Ohio State vs. Penn State tonight.
Very good match.

How early in the match did Christensen score his 2? It seems to me he was very good out of the gates against Iowa as well?
I would've had a chance in WISAA.

He got it pretty early and then the match just got away from him. Gravina is really tough on the mat and he rode RC pretty hard and came out on the positive end of a few scrambles. He can be really tough to beat at times. He beat Dudley this year.

I think RC is doing some really good things. I expect him to wrestle well and get a victory on Sunday.

RT and one of the Rutgers wrestlers shared some words after the match.  Barry wasn't happy about it either.
