Will we win any weight classes?
Brown wins by 6 cuz he doesn't get majors. I have faith at 49, 65 and 285.
I think we get two win. 125 and 165. Would be awesome to see Hillger beat Cassar but he didn't look great on Friday.
125 lbs is 100 percent certain victory and that will be a dominate victory. It is very likely Penn State rests a few starters so we will win a few, but if they do not,
then we likely will not win another. I do not like our chances against Bo.
Is the meet at noon central time or noon eastern time?
Place your bets. Disclaimer Penn State regulars must wrestle at 141/165/174/197.
Badger team points 5.5
Penn State team points 37
C. Brown takedowns 3
Jens non-escape points 1 (push with Penn St penalty point)
Lee -4
Martin Points 3.5
Match length at 157 4:00
Joseph -2.5
Hall -9.5
Mason points 3.5
Match length at 197 3:00
Hilger +2
I would say that 25 is probably the only one Wisconsin wins, but I did see that Vincenzo did sit out Northwestern! If that match up doesn't happen than Wisconsin wins 2 matches.
Cenzo not wrestling. Will be Manville for PSU at 165.
Wow that's a tough match up too! Mason is tough!
No Wick at 165.
Flo Wrestling Announcers said Mason Manville vs Evan Wick at 165
Dual underway at 125...
Brown wins 18-9
Bravo Young 12 Lantz 4
I thought Jens had the last takedown at buzzer, but not awarded...
Could see Wick vs Mark Hall!!!
MORAN WINS 12-10 IN OVERTIME!!
Moran with a huge win!!!
That a boy Moran!
Awesome Bean Machine!
Martin over #10 Berge!!!!!
MARTIN BEATS BERGE 8-7!!
HUGE COMEBACK!!!
Scored more points than any other team all season and we're only through 4 matches.

Wisconsin 10 Penn St 9 at intermission.

Who would have thought?? A trademark of Bono is he has his guys ready to wrestle!! Love it!! Yes
2 big upsets against the number 1 team. Things are looking up for the team. Everytime I think we hit a high(beat Nebraska, 3rd at Midlands)) we get another one.
Evan Wick wins 6-1
13-9

Not a win for BB but saved a couple of team points, that is good. He will add some strength to the line up!
How has there not been one single stall call against PSU? There have been many marginal at best against Bucky in my opinion. Some warranted, some garbage!
Cassar 11 Hillger 5
PSU 24 WI 13 Final
I think this was a great showing by UW today. Proud of the boys and how they wrestled. No other team has scored this much on PSU this year. Great job guys!

Annoying agreed, but those calls were not the difference in the match...
Then again, I think the ref was wearing Nittany underwear... Not good optics when he gives a high five to Sanderson on his way off the mat after the meet ends.... just sayin' ...

UW won four of ten matches, correct?
Great effort Badgers! They fought the whole way, no matter the score.

Hoped for 1 upset at 141/149/Hwt today and the Badgers won 2 of these 3 matches!

Still need to get better on the feet if the program wants to be dominate.

Dominant. It's the adjective one. Dominate is a thing someone does. Dominant is a thing someone is.
File mine under the "One useless post deserves another" category. Of course we lost the TD battle by a huge margin... it's freaking Penn State. Did anyone expect different?

You obviously meant: Did anyone expect differently?
Flo has video of the Sanderson post match press conference.
Talked to a friend on mine that is working out there and went to the match. He said it was a fun meet and nice place. Though he said it was quite during most of the dual but the Penn state crowd was very supportive of how the badger competed.

That looks bad, but a lot better than most, especially when you consider we did not give up a pin, which is pretty impressive against a team like that. They have 9 guys that are elite on their feet.
But I agree going forward, that is where we will really need to improve to be a top 5 program.
These two guys are excellent wrestlers but I'd like to see more urgency to score from Evan Wick and Thor. I was confused at the decision to start neutral by Thor vs Rutgers when every point was needed to get a major for the dual meet. Evan seems content to dominate on the mat by riding and waiting for stall calls vs finding other ways to build points against lesser wrestlers.
I'm not their coach though so just a comment and observational opinion.

Penn State's 3 National Champs did account for around 23 of those .... still a disparity in their favor though ..
As Luke mentioned, it would nice to see the breakdown of the matches... I don't think trackwrestling or anyone else keeps track of stats for indiviudal dual meet matches however...

Is there a place to go where the data of each match might be logged. That is, on Track Wrestling, you can click on a high school tournament bout and see how the scoring went. Does that place exist for college duals?
Luke,
Go to trackwrestling - browse - seasons- 2018/19 College Men - NCAA to give you the listing of events
Select event and click print score sheet
Have you tried this? Click on 'Print Score Sheet' at top of dual result on results site.(http://i68.tinypic.com/2a4v254.jpg)

Still wish I could get a match-by-match breakdown, but it doesn't seem they have that available.

Great information Numbers!
Cael Sanderson talked pretty highly of Bono and the guys wrestling hard. Said he takes great pride in their conditioning and between the lines he seemed to say that Wisconsin was better conditioned. Mentioned multiple times that he did not have them ready for this dual.
