Regardless of what you think about him, Pritzlaff IS DOING it! Major improvement has come out of Michigan and they have two contenders for the NCAA next year in Massa and Coon. Fischer and Murphy will be improving and will be competitive.

But will he stay and support the program if he can't be the head guy? What's the use of building it if you turn around and destroy it?

Pritzlaff didn't distroy anything....so what do you mean by your statement?

You must have been out of the country that year.

2010 was certainly a year to forget and as close to a program being destroyed as one can come.

Can you imagine our team this year with Andrew Howe and Travis Rutt?  We'd be at least as strong as Oklahoma is currently.

wouldn't they have graduated last year if they were still here?

I don't think so - their lack of presence in recent lineups was a function of Olympic redshirts, I believe.

That said, remember that both Howe and Rutt would be sucking up scholarship money and thus, the Badgers might not have been able to bring in a couple of the current studs in the lineup had those two remained with the team - along with McCauley, et al.

Jordan won't beat a healthy Ness.  My guess is that it will be Kingsley.

No. My point is based on the reality of 9.9 scholarships - given that limitation, somebody would have gotten less money if they all had been a part of the team at the same time. Given those fiscal limitations, it is likely that at least one or two of the Badger's current studs would have possibly ended up elsewhere. It's just a statement of that reality - nothing more, nothing less.

Spartan

I would have to disagree with you npope. Putting Howe and rutt would have made this team a contender for a top 5 spot in the big ten as well as the NCAA's That kind of work ethic and competitiveness would have made everyone around them better and solidified the upper weights
Just think
125     19th
133      7th
141       -
149       -
157      11th
165       -
174        1st
184       20th
197         2nd
285      10th
Like I said they would make the upper weights better and the studs that you are talking about not coming here would come because Wisconsin would be ranked where everyone wants it to be. JMO

Ness is a big risk taker with big moves.  Jordan is control and solid positioning. It would not shock me if Jordan wins.
Graff's season will really be tested this weekend.  Thorn lacks Graff's talent but fights every second of 7 minutes.  Can Graff do that?  No reason Graff does not win both of his matches.

npope

Guess we'll never know, Spartan.
