The School District of Denmark is looking for a 5K-5th grade Physical Education teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year.  The Denmark School District is seeking candidates who desire to join a dedicated and committed team of educators and community members focused on improving instruction, learning, and caring for our youngest students.  The ideal candidate is passionate about working as a team, engaging all students in physical fitness activities, using flexible outdoor spaces and ensuring safety protocols are followed.  A successful candidate would possess excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong desire to work as a team and be able to develop positive relationships with all students.

• Our successful candidate will bring the following qualities and attributes:
• An understanding of how to implement physical education standards within 45 minute class periods
• An understanding of the developmental level of Kindergarten through fifth grades
• Be able to analyze and adapt the classroom environment and find ways for all students to be successful through differentiated instruction
• Use ongoing progress monitoring to determine needs of individual students and lesson planning
• Collaborate with current Physical Education staff serving our Kindergarten through fifth graders to support a cohesive physical education experience
• An understanding of the importance of physical education within the context of a child's development
• Communicate constructively and work cooperatively with all staff including paraprofessionals, teachers and other professional staff
• Maintain confidentiality and build trust with students, staff, parents and the community
• Qualifications:

Interested candidates should currently, or be able to be, licensed by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction with a Physical Education License
