Pulled pork sandwiches, topped with coleslaw.

Great meal, there. Rich pork and crunchy slaw. Perfect off-setting tastes. Enjoy.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

BigG I always figure you will reply to my food posts.  None of my kids & their friends like coleslaw. low carb wrap I figure is better for you

Wrap it with lettuce leafs and add a touch of soy sauce.  Yummy!

I think cabbage is way underrated; cooked or crunchy.

I just made this little dish ate it as is; Low carb-high protein

Venison roast (footballs from hind quarter silver skin removed and fat cut away).

1 Package of dry Ranch Dressing.
1 Package of dry aaaaaa juice (how do you spell that)
1 large jar of peppercinni peppers diced. You can put more if you like I put two jars in. Strain them.
4 large cloves of fresh garlic diced.
1 cup of red wine water if you prefer.
2 beef bullion cubes

throw it in the crock pot and cook low for 8 hours.

I might go plain jane on the pork, the add this sauce to it. The sauce, though, I think is better if you use 3/4 Buttermilk instead of the creme fraiche/sour cream.

I bet if you used this to flavor the slaw, you go up yet another notch, because the horseradish can offset the sulfuric smell of the cabbage.

+1000000000000

And even more important, salted and fermented!

Possibly the most versatile veggie (cheap, too) and has resulted in so many botanical variations (broccoli, kohlrabi, etc) it might surpass the potato in world-wide food importance

Meat Loaf made with ground venison

2 baked chickens and homemade roasted garlic smashed potatoes. Some braised cabbage and we're good.

If you enjoy making chicken soup or stock, I recommend baking the chicken first, give a little more richness and less fat to skim. That's why I always bake 2. Even if the kids pick it clean the next few days, I'll save that carcass for soup.

MM. This is close to the hot Italian beef recipe my mom gave me. Right on the money!

Do you add the pepperoncini juice? I could chug that stuff.

G I did not but that is great idea and I will next time.

Today I made this;

Inner tenderloins from one of the deer I got this year. I marinaded it in grill mates Southwest Marinade over night whole.

I angle cut them into medallions.
I peeled couple dozen pearl onions.
Cut into slices baby protabella mushrooms.
Diced some fresh garlic.

Large frying pan (cast iron) I put on medium high heat and dressed the pan with canola oil.

Once it is hot I drop in the venison tenderloin with the marinade till I seared the meat then added the pearl opinions and garlic and mushrooms. Cooked till I caramelized the mushrooms and onions.

Served over wild rice.

Gotta love wild rice.

All other rice should be outlawed (maybe keep brown rice)
