Anyone do ham any differently.

Today I'm trying for the first time root beer with cloves, let the ham soak overnight in this, then leave it on low and slow in a big old pot with foil over the top.

Love a good ham. I'm also braising lamb shanks for the adults, as I can't celebrate Easter without lamb.

Cheesy potatoes, deviled eggs, some fresh resurrection bread. Since pineapple and strawberries were affordable, making a fruit salad. Might even add a little pineapple to the root beer/clove stock.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

This is a good one:

INGREDIENTS:

1 ham
1 can Mountain Dew soda
1 can (8 ounce size) crushed pineapple

DIRECTIONS:

Place ham in crock pot. Pour soda over ham. Pour crushed pineapple over ham. Cook for 4-5 hours on high or 8-10 on low, depends upon the size of the ham.

Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
