Crone captures top-10 win as Badgers fall to Huskers
Crone, Christensen and Ritter all take victories
MADISON, Wis. – Andrew Crone's top-10 win was not enough to help the 20th-ranked Wisconsin wrestling team overcome No. 15 Nebraska, falling 24-10 Friday night at the UW Field House.

No. 19 Crone took down No. 8 Tyler Berger via major decision at 157 pounds in the last matchup of the night. The Delafield, Wisconsin native notched three takedowns and two two-point nearfalls in the second period en route to an 11-3 upset.

Ryan Christensen put the Badgers on the board with a 3-2 win over Nebraska's Beau Breske at 174 pounds. The redshirt junior responded to Breske's reversal with two escapes and picked up a point due to stalling late in the third period to seal the victory.

UW's Hunter Ritter exploded in the first period, collecting a four-point nearfall against Nebraska's Eric Schultz to defeat him, 9-6.

Notes to know
At 165 pounds No. 6 Evan Wick was unable to overcome No. 12 Isaiah White, dropping a close 6-3 fight.
No. 9 Ricky Robertson faced No. 7 Taylor Venz in a thrilling offensive battle. Robertson was in the lead through the first two periods but Venz rallied in the third frame to earn a 12-7 win.
Senior Johnny Jimenez fell to Mitchell Maginnis at 125 pounds, 5-2.
At 133 pounds, Jens Lantz was unable to take down No. 19 Jason Renteria, falling 11-4.
Redshirt sophomore Eli Stickley could not hold off No. 13 Chad Red Jr., dropping a 6-3 decision.
Cole Martin lost by decision to No. 10 Colton McCrystal, 7-4.

Can't wait to see Crone at NCAAs (and the rest of the Badgers too).
As long as we are keeping score, I've got something to prove
