Why no Reinhardt or Schierl in FS?  Anyone?

...hmmm, why would a young man Coached by a Greco guy in Merrill and a young man coached by a Greco guy (Hall) in Point wrestle Greco?  *shocked face

Dale

Wow, nice sarcasm Dale.  :'(

How about this, why not both Greco and FS?

You will please forgive me, sarcasm is something I have a great deal of experience in...

No clue, fine question, just pleased to see them competing unlike about 2,000 other Wisconsin wrestlers.

Congratulations to Beau Breske in winning Junior Freestyle in convincing fashion.  Many were counting Beau out as someone that had already reached his peak, or had lost a step or two (nobody in WI did this, but on the national scene there were many doubters).

As far as Schierl and Rheinhardt only doing Greco, they wrestled in the style they enjoy the most. Fargo is such a grind and competing in both styles is beyond brutal, especially when you add in the two additionalweigh-ins for Freestyle.  They chose one style. Both wrestled exceptionally well to finish third in weight classes won by Hidlay and Reenan respectively.  This makes Beau's Freestyle win (after getting third in Greco , losing to the champ at 170, Kamal Bey) even more impressive.  I may miss a name or two, but I believe  the only Juniors to compete in both styles were Koontz, Koontz, Moody, Breske.  Bianchi was registered for Freestyle but withdrew in order to give his body some rest so he can better prepare for the Cadet World Championships August 25. The talent and depth in the 120lb Greco bracket was incredible.  As was the 120lb freestyle bracket.  Let me put it this way, Austin Gomez of IL finished 5th in that bracket.

I havent seen the mention of Hunter Marko at Fargo. I think he did well placing 5th.

Isnt Hunter a former triple crown winner and placed 6th and 5th at Fargo. I find that pretty good and what is better to boot, a Badger recruit!!!!!!! ;D

I noticed that Devin Bahr did not participate. Is he still recovering, and will he be back for the high school season?

EIUwrestler1

FYI, If you go on youtube and type in wrestlers name, his match from Fargo might be up.  All of my kids are, along with a few that other people have put up.  Kind of interesting
