Why are the boys representing the State of Wisconsin not wearing uniform team singlets? I understand that it is not the uniform that makes the man, but they still represent the State. Just curious.

Breske got beat 9-2 ???

Bey had a 5 point throw on the edge to make it 6-0. Beau had a push out and a subsequent push out/attempted throw. Bey did a great job of staying on the inside and pushing Beau to the edge and hand fighting to keep attacks away. Nothing to be ashamed about losing to Bey (who is one of the most explosive wrestlers in country in the high school ranks).

JR Greco currently in 2nd place with 10 guaranteed All Americans!

It almost sounds like Wisconsin could have
put a very nice greco dual meet team together with
these elite wrestlers.

They could purchase a singlet ( badger paw on it) or borrow the singlet ( with the W on it)
Those are the two approved singlets for the year

Or that the focus on Fargo initiative is working...

There are many high level guys across the country that just do the freestyle
so I will withhold my opinion until I see the freestyle results.
However, excellent performance by Wisconsin in greco.
No champs in cadet or juniors yet, but knocking on the door.

Thank you for the response and good luck to team Wisconsin in Freestyle. Great showing in Greco for the entire State.

If you add up the Cadet team scores and the Junior Team Scores, the State of Wisconsin placed 2nd overall with 85 points behind the power house Illinois.

The showing in Greco is awesome. We won't get any real publicity from Flo or anything, but beating the PA, OK, OH and Iowas is a pretty big deal regardless of style.

As long as we are keeping score, I've got something to prove

The WI Junior Greco finished 2nd overall to IL in the team standings with 10 All Americans.  Hopefully, WI Freestylers can continue the great success thus far.  Great job boys.

Roger that, it was great to see all the WI All Americans throughout the weight classes!  Great job!

Predicting who has the highest Junior freestyle finish,
I will go with:
1.  Breske
2. Chadd
3. Hunter Marko

3 Cadets still going. Dow, Raschka and Kluever.

First time really have a down day and able to look at the results. I found it interesting the amount of participants in Greco vs freestyle. Although the # of Greco participants is noticeably lower, those who usually enter in Greco are solid in the style, versus Freestyle which will include a lot of folkstyle guys doing freestyle for the mat time and competition. I would interpret this as it being considerably more difficult to AA in Freestyle than Greco, but there are so many factors that play in (i.e. injuries/fatigue from GR guys competing in both, strength of field, etc). Below is what I extracted and I think is an interesting conversation piece (and I'm sure this has been done before):
