Wanted to thanks the teams  for coming and parents for supporting their teams.

Yes some issues.

Mat 2--the clock was an issue. new clock for next year
Refs--3 of the guys were WIAA Certified officials-- does not make them good by no means. Again this was a fundraiser for the Muskie Wrestling program thus it was up to the college wrestlers to do their best. I will do my best to make sure officiating is better next year.
And to keep a college age person off their phone is impossible, think about how many times you checked your phone Sunday? But it will be addressed for next year.
Concessions, An email did go out to the coaches informing them of limited concessions. But there was also some miscommunication on concessions. I had my daughter there at 7:30am to man the booth. But food was not available yet. But once we had stuff, It was available right until the end.

Again we will work out the issues and put on a better tournament next year.

But no one can argue the competition!!!

thanks!!!

This is what transpired re: LAW v AWA dual

Match finished 36-36

went over criteria, #3 criteria was penalty point against AWA
thus I awarded match to LAW
AWA coach John says LAW had AWA wrestler,
I said ok then we will go AWA.
As I walked away LAW said they used this kid all day.
I conferred with Lakeland Head Coach. He agreed that lending a kid to another team made him part of the team that day.
Thus we reversed decision to the original criteria awarding LAW the win on that basis.
Kinda of hard to poll all coaches in the middle of an event after the fact.
Besides number one goal of the tournament was to get all our guys the best quality matches in one day. which I think was accomplished. Especially looking at how close all 15 duals were yesterday.
Lending kids to other teams will be topic of discussion before wrestling starts next year.

As long as Ringers lost to AWA then the world is good..   Go ASKREN

Lets not forget where Askren started....as Ringer.

It's very strenuous!

Opinions are not facts. Because two people differ in opinions doesn't make one of them wrong.

Would you consider next year having a community division?  or would you fear that would take wrestlers away from their clubs?

Coming from a former Ringer wrestling dad.  Askren was a Ringer and used Ringer technique.

Thanks Scott for putting this on, we need more duals.  Our kids love the dual format, I would also support a community division next year, more duals the better.

LOL and you guys sure got me there!  I was a Ringer for 8 years, I never try to hide that fact.  Ringers is a good club, that being said, John, Max and Myself all saw an opportunity to take things to the next level and we believe in our mission. Giving kids the best wrestling opportunities possible is priority # of our mission.
