Christensen and Jimenez are the ballyhoo'd recruits, but I'm on board with the other guys "flying under the radar" and being hidden gems.  I hope several of them are solid contributors in the starting lineup after a couple years.

Jimenez will likely redshirt I'm thinking, especially if RT says at 125.  Christensen also likely to redshirt as well with Roberson and McCall penciled into the upper weights next year.  Probably all will redshirt I'm thinking, with Jimenez being the only possible exception.

My WAY too early starting lineup projection for next year  ;D
125  RTaylor
133  JT
141  Crone/Glenn
149  Ruschell
157  Lubeck
165  Weber/Liegel
174  Zeke
184  Ichy/Stilling
197  Robertson
HWT Medbery

You've got Jordan jumping two weight classes in one year. I don't think we are going to see that happening.
Merely having an opinion doesn't necessarily make it a good one

I don't think JT will be the only Badger who will take a Olympic redshirt.

I assume you think Medberry will as well?  Jordan and Taylor never seemed to focus on either freestyle or greco much and the rest either don't appear to be good enough or still have a lot to prove at the college and senior level (Robertson & Christiansen) before taking that step.

I could see him jumping two weights more than staying at 157.  He could go 165 but I also wonder if theirs a family decision in the weight too.....

Bo vs. Zeke?  Not sure if it will happen.  Bo may be getting bigger (174) and Zeke goes 165.
From Milwaukee to St Paris.

The odds are only thielke will be an Olympic redshirt.

Sure, it is possible Lubeck or Medbery may quality to take one, but more than likely Thielke is the only guy on the team that will.

I'd like to say I took family dynamics into consideration, but Zeke's weight class was more a wild guess then anything.  But now that you brought it up, I wonder how the Bo situation will affect Isaac's weight class.  Bo should have signed with Wisconsin and the potential conflict would have resolved itself much more easily. ;)

Don't forget Lantz.  He'll be in the mix there somewhere in 2015.  He's projected to be a 141 pounder I believe.

Ricky is having a good open season. I think there is a lot of up side for him and he may test those waters. I think it is good to have Jesse and Ty around to bounce questions off of. I think the other big impact will be Mitch Hull here and his input.

Good article on Christensen. Hope the knee never becomes an issue for him. Intesesting comment on him wanting to stay on as a grad assistant after he is done here and train for the olympics. Great news potentially to make the room competitive and the impact Hull is having on top recruits possibly coming to uw.

Jimenez finished his high school career last weekend winning his 4th state title.

Christensen won his 2nd state title last weekend.

Look forward to both of them at UW next year.  Hopefully the WI guys and Rowh can win state titles this weekend.

Luke Rowh is a good pickup for the badgers. He is solid kid: he lost 1-0 to Gross from Apple Valley (one of the top kids@ 132- signed with Iowa) last year in the state semis. Otherwise he would have won state. Also has beat several nationally ranked kids including Voss, Giraldo, etc Luke trains at Victory School with Kevin Black and is training partners with Lantz. I think he flew a bit under the radar! Good find UW.

I agree, Luke definitely flew under the radar.  He's a great kid.
