Freedom made a deal with the devil to leave that regional.
ND- have you ever been in it?
V
There were a few interesting moves that I saw.
Neenah was moved in with the Appleton & GB schools in D1
Freedom was moved out of that insane regional in Two Rivers, but that regional is still insane.
Winneconne left their sectional completely and went south, being replaced by Adams-Friendship.
Stratford is back into the NE Sectional for D3 and the Coleman/Stratford match up is back on. Lot of great duals in the past between these two teams and I think Davidson will have the boys ready for the next great battle. Geaux Tigers!
I just can't figure out how Parkview can coop with Albany and stay D3. They should have moved up to D2 and Spencer/Columbus Catholic should be in D3.

At least move 1 team out and make it a 6 team regional!

A couple years ago, they evened this sectional out across 4 regionals and it was a great product sectional weekend. It is a shame the WIAA cannot take the time to do it again.
With that being said, who wins that regional this year? Brillion, Wrightstown, Denmark, and LC should all be ranked in the top 10 in the state next year. Someone should be run the numbers on who returns what before I make my prediction on this!

LC I believe if they can fill in a couple of upperweights, Brillion returns quite a bit as well.TR, Denmark and Wtown had quite a few seniors and I am sure will reload.
Where can I find the Team Sectional Matrix pairings?

Come on over to the SCC regional. Same teams as last year.

Typically they are Regional 1 Winner Vs Regional 3 winner and Regional 2 Winner Vs Regional 4 Winner.
Meaning Stratford and Coleman would wrestle in the first dual at team sectionals next February....potentially.

Should be fun for sure. RAW was moved out a couple years back. Man they are going to surprise some teams for sure.
It certainly isn't the best with that east regional but they are not the only regional with kids getting left behind.

It's simple.. enrollment numbers. Albany and Parkview combined have 319 kids. Spencer and Columbus Catholic have 333 kids.
These are the returning wrestlers from last years regional and where they finished.

I believe Brillion also has Garnett Stebane who was a state finalist two years ago and was hurt last year. Freedom has also left this regional. On paper, it looks like LC and Brillion should be the front runners to win this regional. Wrightstown seems to find a way to develop wrestlers and they will reload. I will go LC based on they have more returners then Brillion and their MS Program has more wrestlers coming up that could make a difference next year.
Yes, LC can comfortably win this regional, they are in line to get a much needed potential match vs Amery in the state finals next year. LC may be a little weak in the 220/285 weights (unless they have talent coming up in these weights) but the rest of the team is great or at least solid.
Brillion lost 4 seniors but has Garnett Stebane and Damon Schmidt coming back ( both didn't wrestle at regionals) and will provide a threat.
Quad, be confident in your team and it'll be okay. Team sectionals is back.
Brillion will also have Mavric Nohr back. He will be a senior next year. He did not wrestle a match last year due to injury, but has been a varsity wrestler since he was freshman.
