BBQ masters take note. This stuff is great. Comes in a sack, near the salt/spice section of the store. I T per pound, then wash it off. Unreal the difference. Like it permeates the meat. Go over night for bigger cuts. You low and slow this with smoke and you get heaven. Now, I haven't been able to find it again. Made by Morton's, I believe. I'm on the hunt for it. If you find some, give it a try.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

NO, but the usual suspects.

Morton® Tender Quick® mix contains salt, the main preserving agent; sugar, both sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite, curing agents that also contribute to development of color and flavor; and propylene glycol to keep the mixture uniform.

It was $1.50 for a 2 or 3 lb. sack. Now Wally ain't got it. I have yet to check Woody's.

MSG ?  ;D

That's what I thought when I first heard of it.

MSG gives my wife a "headache." :D

Most larger grocery stores probably have near the canning supplies.
