What are your thoughts on wrestlers having success in Freestyle or Greco, and how it translates to College Folfstyle?

I admit, I don't follow the international style of wrestling, like I do Folkstyle, but I feel like I hear more success stories of guys that were stronger in Freestyle, than Greco, when it comes to College Folkstyle success.

Freestyle translates much better in my opinion. Greco is great but isn't as consistent as freestyle.

There is a long list of guys who focused mostly on Greco and were elite Greco wrestlers that did not transition well to folkstyle and did not have much success.  Greco is just a completely different style and good college wrestlers just stay away from going upper body and often win the other areas in folkstyle, unless the Greco wrestler is well rounded and good at leg attacks and mat wrestling.

Having success in freestyle is generally a much better indicator of college success, but there are still some differences.
