I think the other teams will help out LC more than TR. But I think TR has a little too much for LC to overcome.
future, show me a regional that is anywhere near as loaded as SB. I'm not saying it is tough for LC it's tough for everybody, lots of ranked wrestlers that won't get out of regionals.
I don't see anything wrong with acknowledging how tough a particular regional tournament is. I'm sure I recall similar posts in previous years, pertaining to various regionals and/or sectionals. Yes, according to the information posted, it looks to be a very tough tournament. I haven't compared it to any others, but I'm sure there will be many tough matchups state-wide this year, as usual.
I agree with you Quad on this regional, LC looked a little down at battle on the bay, but looked great at Bi State, wrightstown looked very much improved at cheesehead, and knowing so many kids at Southern Door and knowing how much they are improving, it will be interesting, but I think it will help TR more then LC, JMO. Allways look forward to reading your post.

Two things are certain on the wiwrestling forum: 1. maggie will disarm a dispariging comment with a ;D emoticon, 2: Someone from LC will comment on how tough their regional is this year. ;D
That's because it IS!!!!

+1 If an elephant is standing on your foot, would it be problematic to mention it?
I heard that this year, and it is only a rumor, that The State Tournament will be really tough. :) Sorry Dale, couldn't resist. There are a few brutal regionals and sectionals. That's why we wrestle !
Look forward to see you again Sir !
Sir, you can't be talking to me. But if you are, LC has to get out of regionals and then get past WB, plus I haven't been feeling the best. So time will tell if I will get down there. But thank you for the complements.
The Ellsworth regional is really, really tough. ;D
Yes, it usually is. How does it compare?
bobby b, since you know SD pretty where do you think Englebert will go?

Sorry to hear you are under your strength. If there is anyone that will get LC there, it is you. Be strong and I will see you at State.
I think not having to worry about weight, he will wrestle at 152 and be happy, good for jacob, big fan

Quad Final Word is a funny guy. LC regional is the toughest in the state to get out of. Ellsworth should have no problem getting out of their regional. Amery on the other hand will have their hands full. ;D
Quad,
You think that is tough? Now look at Sectionals! Your going to have two or more ranked wrestlers NOT make state in several weight classes.
But, you and I both know that is how the Northeast Wisconsin area has been over the last several years.

You aren't kidding. Every year you think it might be a little easier and every year it is a meat grinder.

Now who's the comedian? Amery will place 13 wrestlers 3rd or higher in their regional! With LC, South Door, wrights town, And Two Rivers in the same gym; it will indeed be a day for "hairy crested men" only as my coach used to say.
:D. Could be a similar situation with the Ellsworth regional. Quad never thought I would say this but, I will be rooting for you guys.
I can see why.

To the State Tournament!!!!
I was perusing the Guillotine the other day and saw that Section 1AA (they don't have regionals) in the SE part of the state has the #1 ranked wrestler in 7 of the 14 weights. And a top 5 in every weight (not including the aforementioned #1 ranked kids). That sounds tough!

Pawelski from Southern Door and Verbeten from Wrightstown down to 132 so it eases up 138. They will be the lead contenders now at 132 which at this point puts the L-C and Two Rivers kids job a bit tougher to try to get into sectionals. May be fighting for 3rd/4th team points instead of 1st/2nd.
No inside info but I could see Bergelin going 113 to try to get to sectionals and would probably have a fighters chance after that.

We'll have to see, Cody Yauch came back on Saturday and wrestled Verbeten twice at Freedom and won the first match while Verbeten won the second, should be interesting

It won't be easy and it will be close but there is no question that LC will prevail in states toughest regional.
The northeast D2 sectional has been unbelievable for a long time now, but this year will be ridiculous. I can't wait for Seymour to roll around. With your regional and the 15 ranked kids coming out of the Nekoosa regional plus two more regionals dumping in, "I fear the fur will fly."
