That's nice to see; some development seems to be taking place across the board.
Merely having an opinion doesn't necessarily make it a good one

12th as a team is pretty good considering where we were last year.

Nice to see. I look forward to seeing them at NCAAs. Anyone going to St. Louis this year?
As long as we are keeping score, I've got something to prove

Feel like as a tournament team we will be top 10. Right in the middle of Track and Intermat.

Interesting that Hall goes right to #7 when he is 0-1 and yet Meyer who beat him remains back at #12.

They are really giving him credit for his unattached wins and not penalizing him for the loss to Meyer
Of Course, this is only my opinion and no one elses!

9 Badgers are Ranked in the Top 25; the team is tied for 8th

Intermat has them 13th (tourney), and 20th (Dual).  That's more realistic.

I prefer Trackwrestling's Rankings because the Badgers are higher !  ;D

Now, be it far from me to advance conspiracy theories, but I recently noticed in their "about" link that they are WI based:
QuoteAs Trackwrestling continues to expand out of Wisconsin through the support of USA Wrestling, the WIAA, and the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association, we hope to continue to enhance our services and support wrestling on a national level.

I imagine this is an old statement, since they are a national icon now.

Does anybody on this board know more about the people who started this awesome service?

Doctor, with all due respect, how do you weigh Hall's  blasting through the Southern Scuffle equally with a close loss to Meyer in his official debut?   Hall rag-dolled Crutchmer; dispatched the tough kid from Lehigh, etc. in scuffle.

Meyer, like so many Iowa wrestlers, is strong, tough, defensive, strategic.   He's experienced.    Hall was probably amped-up for his coming out party, and may have gotten too hyped, which is exhausting.  He had a lousy match.    I expect Hall beats Meyer in 9 out of 10 matches.

Ranking involves the whole body of work.   I expect Hall will move up from #7, don't expect much more from Meyer, but that is my subjective judgement.

I guess my point was not to doubt Hall's abilities at all but man did he look bad against Meyer.  He looked like we was out of shape and lacked strength for 174.  I agree that was probably a fluke match but I did not get to see the actual matches from the scuffle.

Maybe the kudos just go to Meyer for wrestling a great match and getting the upset rather than being unimpressed with Hall in that one match.

One of those matches where the result certainly did not fit the hype!

I won't disagree with you on this point, you saw what you saw.   But it gets me to thinking what a strange crew those Penn State Wrestlers are.  Cael himself never *looked* particularly strong.   Bo Nickal looks like a skinny high school wrestler, yet he throws muscle man Nick Gravina around.   Jason Nolf doesn't look strong.    Mark Hall seems to be another in that lean, mean tradition - at least from what I've seen from some other matches.

Penn State is on something, some secret PED.
