At the Cheesehead?  Congrats!!!!!   ;D

That must be one of the old people inside jokes I see on here all the time.   ;D

What brackets look promising at your local team's tourney this weekend?

At the Rebel Invitational in Wabeno, I think the most fun might be at 152.

If people wrestle at their ranked weight We'll have D3: #4 Blake Delsman (Reedsville) #6 Winston Reichle (Cedar Grove-Belgium) and #7 Cole Shepherd (Crandon) plus D2 # 8 Logan Bishop (Tomahawk). It should be an extremely competitive bracket with lots of matches that are "fair fights." The Coleman team that wrestles at Wabeno is the Varsity Reserve, so I don't think we're likely to have D3 #1 Karson Casper there, but Coleman's deep enough that they might be sending another pretty good guy into that bracket as well.

Is Carter Freeman the son of Troy Freeman, former wrestler from Nekoosa?
Are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie!

Tims

Carter Freeman would be Troy's cousin Josh Freeman's son. Landyn Freeman the 106 pounder is Troy's son.

So then the Grandpa would be the former Mayor of Nekoosa?

Grandpa to Landyn and Uncle to Carter I believe yes.  Former police officer/Mayor.

This weekend , I see Cumberland wrestles Slinger at the Devil Duals. Fans might get to see two state champs clash again, Johnson vs Tonsor.  Dawson Johnson pinned him earlier this year at the AWA Duals I believe.

Such bad weather and you being north.  Think it will be postponed?

They are wrestling, but less than half the teams were able to make it. I'm not there, the snow has left me with some work to do at home. It even looks like the Three Lakes contingent of the host Wabeno/Laona/Three Lakes tri-op aren't there today.

They have more or less turned into a scramble on the fly. Looks like they are letting teams put more than one kid in a bracket, too. At least some JV guys are going to get some matches out of it, and that's one way to make lemonade out of lemons. Up north it can be hard for JV kids to find matches. Little schools up here have trouble filling varsity weights. And when you do have some JV kids at a few weights it doesn't mean that your opponent has JV kids at same weights. So, I think they're doing the right thing and making the most out of what they have today.

They do have that bracket at 152 with D3 #4, #6 and #7 intact, so there can at least be some good matches there.
