now that after some moving around at sectionals due to injuries, what is everyones thought on who makes it out of their respective sectionals and gets to state?

both prescott and BW got another enterant in the tournament but ellsworth lost one also.

106 Wileman has a great shot I think of making it.  Ekholm will have to pull off many upsets. Wileman
113 Oswald best shot, on the "tougher" side of the bracket.  Nelson will have to get a few upsets to make it.  Pederson if he wrestles like
Regionals could surprise might come down to him vs Oswald for that third spot.  Oswald
120 Nickowski favorite, Poellinger vs Tylee in semis most likely winner to state.  Olson will need to be upset specialist. Nickowski,
      Poellinger

126 Bonte vs Hantsbarger round 1, loser possibly done with Stricker waiting in the wings.  Ingham vs Murphy round 1.  Ingham looks favorite on
     the bottom side.  Bonte, Ingham
132 Stuhl vs Penard most likely in semis.  Have a feeling both get through Stuhl, Penard
138 Huppert might be favorite on top half, Holzer might surprise up there though, Hove has tough road with Poetzel and Harmon on bottom.
     Huppert
145 First round matchups again Lansing vs Schmidt and Wasley vs Crowley.  Wasley vs Crowley loser good chance will not get a second match
and Lansing vs Schmidt winner tough second with Pooler most likely as well.  Will go with Lansing hopefully get one more though.
152 With injury to Kostka Ramberg moves into the bracket.  Will have to wrestle well but could surprise there on the top side.  Smith and
Hamilton on the bottom most likely meet up in semis.  That loser might face Ramberg to see who goes.  Smith, Hamilton
160 Will the move down for Hopke work?  Has a good shot on the top half most likely see Paulson in semis if he wins his first.  Kosnopfal
favorite in the weight, Lowney will have to get some upsets.  Kosnopfal, Hopke going to say the frosh makes it  :D
170 Toenjes vs Knutson first round winner to face Waldofski most likely.  Johnson on bottom has good shot at semis too where will have a
tough match vs either Melton or Aguilera.  Tough weight will go with Toenjes.
182 Guthrie on top half will most likely have Melton in semis, will give edge to Guthrie after Melstroms win on Wednesday over Melton.
Carlson on bottom will most likely have Kostka in semis who beat Guthrie last week.  Another tough weight will go with Guthrie to
      get out.
195 Luksich on the top half will have to come to wrestle to make it, Melstrom on bottom would have Buchanon in semis.  If Melstrom can
wrestle like he did Wednesday night he has a good shot. Melstrom
220 The bracket of the day.  Schulte vs Lowney first round edge to Schulte.  Winner gets undefeated Carrol.  Bottom half sees returning state
champ Larson having to battle just to get back to state.  Most likely will get Rau in semis.  Will be a fun weight to watch.  Going with my
cardinal to make it out though Schulte.  Not sure Larson has enough in the gas tank to wrestle 4 tough matches, hopefully I'm
wrong on that one and both can make it out.  Might end up wrestling each other for the state spot.
285 Wilson will need some luck up top.  Thomason gets the fun Zchernitz matchup off the bat.  Can he beat Jepson most likely to get a shot at
wrestling for state entry. Peterson on bottom is probably the favorite after watching his great Wednesday night.  Peterson

People in bold are my picks to make it out.  That would be 19 in D2 which would be a great day for the MBC.

In D1 NR has nine at sectionals.  Dennis at 132 and Laventure at 195 have their best shots IMO but will have to wrestle very tough to make it out.  Dennis got tough draw in Lehrke first match, then would have Schierl most likely with Dolezal in finals. Definitely got the harder side of the bracket hope he can pull it off.  It might come down to if Laventure can beat Rapids freshman for NR to get a state entrant.

Good luck to all this Satruday.

Feel bad Jon Cain from Ellsworth. Don't see him in the 126 lb bracket. That is too bad for a senior who had shot at state and his team poised to win team state championship.

I just saw that as well, that is too bad.

Any chance he will be able to wrestle team state?

I'm confused - how do teams pick up/lose guys after regionals? Injuries and/or replacements for injured guys?
Merely having an opinion doesn't necessarily make it a good one

I believe if a wrestler that qualifies for sectionals is injured at regionals or practice the following week and can't participate at sectional, then the 3rd place finisher at the regional now qualifies for sectional.

In this case 126 and 152 3rd place finishers are participating at the Neillsville sectional from the Baldwin Regional.
