Thursday January 7th 2021 Neenah will be hosting a QUAD featuring Kaukauna ranked #2, Mukwanago Ranked #3, Neenah Ranked #5, and Kimberly (very very good team and under the radar).

Here is a quick preview of the teams/programs competing in the event. In this preview we will highlight current ranked wrestlers for the fans to better understand the level of talent that will competing in this event.

The Kaukauna Ghosts come in ranked #2 in the latest D1 poll and have qualified for the WIAA Team State Tournament 8 Years in a Row (4 Championships 2014-2017, 2 Runner-Up finishes in 2013 and 2018).   The Ghosts fell to the eventual State Champion Stoughton Vikings in the WIAA Team State Semifinals a season ago. The Ghosts are led by returning State Champions Grayson Clark @ 126 pounds (Ranked #2) and Jager Eisch @ 132 pounds (Ranked #1). The Ghosts also return state place-winner Titus Hammen at 152 pounds (Ranked #3 @ 160). The ghosts lineup includes a core of returning state qualifiers in seniors Logan Stumpf (ranked #2 @ 138), Griffen Bekish (ranked #9 @170), and Trevor Steyvenberg (ranked #6 @ 195).  Rounding out Kaukauna's State Ranked wrestlers are underclassmen Lucas Peters (#4 @ 106) and Bryan Winans (HM @113).  The Ghosts are Coach by Jeff Matczak a UW Oshkosh Graduate (1991) and Titan Wrestler has led Kaukauna to a state record 18 Team State appearances

The Kimberly Papermakers come into this event with a very talented and strong line-up featuring 6 ranked wrestlers.  Kimberly has four wrestlers with WIAA Individual State Qualification to their credentials all Seniors in Max Sanderfoot (ranked #12 @ 145), Tucker Smith (Ranked #8 @ 160), Trey King (ranked HM @ 170), and Deiondre Williams (Ranked #7 @ 182).  Karson Otis is an excelling sophomore ranked #4 @138 and freshman Tyson Peach rounds out Kimberlys ranked wrestlers #12 @ 113. Kimberly is coached by reigning FVA Coach of the Year Ben Engelland a graduate of UW Stevens Point (2011).

The Mukwanago Indians come into the QUAD ranked #3 in the latest D1 Team Poll.  Mukwanago is coming off of back to back Team State Finals appearances losing the the Stoughton Vikings last season in the finals 32-30. Mukwanagos line-up features 6 current ranked wrestlers. The Indians are led by a trio of returning state placewinners in #2 ranked Tyler Goebel at 145 pounds, Cole Hansen #3 ranked at 170 pounds, and Jake Wisinski ranked #4 @ 132 pounds.  Cody Goebel a returning state qualifier is ranked #9 @ 138.  The Mukwanago line-up also includes Zach Eliszewksi HM @ 152 and Jacob McGillvray ranked #11 @ 195.  The Indians are coached by Jon Wierzbicki a former UW Oshkosh Graduate (1998) and Titan Wrestler.

Neenah your host comes into the QUAD ranked #5 in the latest D1 Team Poll.  The Rockets qualified for the WIAA Team State Tournament a season ago losing in the first round to the eventual champion. The Rockets are led by returning state placewinner Drake Hayward who is currently ranked #2 @ 152 pounds.  Bryce Fochs continues to climb the rankings sitting at #6 in the latest D1 poll at 285 pounds.  Jayden Sheppard a returning state qualifier is wrestling at 126 pounds and currently ranked #9. Caleb Letson another Neenah returning state qualifier is currently ranked #12 @ 220.  Neenah Senior Evan Piechocki rounds out the list of Neenah ranked wrestlers listed as HM at 113 pounds but unfortunately will be unable to compete due to injury.  The Rockets are coached by Kyle Kleuskens a UW Oshkosh Graduate (2011) and Titan Wrestler.

Spectators will be limited to just family members of the wrestlers competing in the event.  Everyone can check out some great matches via the live-stream link.
