From Milwaukee to St Paris.

dad 2 5

so breaking the numbers down ;)
PSU 10 seeded totaling 34 (five champs)
Iowa 10 seeded totaling 34 (1 champ)
MN 9 seeded totaling 31
MI 10 seeded totaling 59 (1 champ)
Neb 9 seeded totaling 50 (2 champs)
WI 9 seeded totaling 56 (1 champ)
IL 8 seeded totaling 48
OSU 9 seeded totaling 67
Prd 8 seeded totaling 59
Nw 6 seeded totaling 36
IND 5 seeded totaling 38
MSU 6 seeded totaling 58

I am hoping UW can pull some upsets and get past Neb and Michigan but 6th is a good jump forward.

I am liking the draw for Medbery and to be honest, also for Theilke. Not sure if JT has it in him right now to take down a stallion, but JT is dangerous.
Merely having an opinion doesn't necessarily make it a good one

I was wishing Thielke had the 6th seed.  Stieber and Zain are not easy draws.

Is it standard that they seed either 8 or 12 per weight?  It appears so.

In the weights where 8 are seeded, the 4 unseeded wrestlers might wrestle any of the seeds, correct?
(Example - a #2 Seed may have a 1st round opponent, and a # 6 seed may get a bye?)

I don't love JT's draw. Would much rather go through Ill and Pudue to qualify than Iowa or Michigan. Although he has the potential to catch any one at any time. Does anyone know if he were to place 7th if he would get a wrestle back for 6th?

bigoil

How insanely tough is the big ten when a two time ncaa champ has a pre-seed of 5th.

Brad Taylor?

wutda

That is his correct first name.  With that said-nobody ever goes by it.  Hope he does work this tourney.  What a tough weight.

No wrestleback from 7th to 6th.

Gutwrench

I get the sense JT has improved as the year has gone on.  He is due, DUE I tell you, for a big match.  I don't know if it will come on the championship side of the bracket, or if it will come on the back side of the bracket.  I just think JT is going to go on a little run at the B1G's and get himself qualified for NCAA.  I hope my hunch is right.

I'm a little worried the Badgers are going to come out flat.   The tourney is in their home town, sleeping in their own beds, family and friends around, lots of distractions.  I hope I'm wrong, but I could see it happening.

Who is Wisconsin putting on the mat at 149?

I'm pretty sure the team is staying in a hotel. The coaches may have been thinking the same thing...  Doesn't the football team do that for the same reason?

Are you sure they are sleeping in their own beds?  I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if they are at a close hotel for the reasons you list.  Regardless, the home record this year is better than the road record; ask Ohio St. or Illinois  ;) or St John or Green or Telford  ;D so I'm good with sleeping in their own beds  :)
