If Dean is healthy and can keep those knees strong, he can beat anyone in the country.  I don't think we have seen the best DJ yet.  I don't think a lot of people knew what he was struggling with each year because he doesn't make excuses about what is going on.  Every year he seems to bang up his knees and body because he is very funky when people attack his legs and the WI coaches focus so much on grinding and conditioning all season long.  If he can keep those knees healthy at the end of the year, he could win it all.  Being in that room is going to be awesome for him but staying healthy is just as important.  It will be interesting to see if David Taylor can help his wrestlers peak at the end of the year without a ton of injuries like Cael has always done at PSU.  I have always worried about burnout at the end of the season with Bono's style.

Quote from: vsmf2010 on Today at 10:10:45 AMCam Amine announced he is transferring to Ok St. They had 3 165's transfer in this offseason. A 3 time AA, a 2 time AA and a round of 16/12 guy. Apparently Fish will redshirt and DJ is going 174.
I love Amine to Okie State, he has always beaten Dean and so should be a great workout partner for him.  Plus, they got Dustin Plott at 184 who is another stud.  Finally, the Magic Man who is a similar size to Dean will be the head coach.  Dean will finally have some great workout partners and hope he has a great year.

This line up is pretty stacked and I think each weight could go 3 or 4 kids deep with excellent talent.  There are A LOT of really good wrestlers in this age group that aren't on the team for one reason or another as well.  The future is looking pretty bright in WI!

I really think Endene will go 184.  I think it'll help with his gas tank as well.

All sources have Russo at either 197 or even HWT (Wrestlestat).  He wrestled 215 and 220 in high school.

I love wrestle stat but take that with a big grain of salt.

Russo was a very thick 215/220 pounder but a good diet I can see him dropping down. Yes 184 maybe a stretch but with Bono condition program and eating programs it wouldn't surprise me that Russo gets to 184.

The wartburg kid from my understanding would not be able to fat test for 184. I halyard a story for him to be 196 they worked it in his favor.
You really think he wrestles at a weight class 30 pounds lighter than he did in high school?  The Badgers website has him at 197, not 184.

I agree with you dropping possibly almost 40 pounds would be a feat. Just saying I wouldn't be surprised with this coming out of the Badger room. Russo is a thick kid that certainly could drop to like you said 197. He isn't that tall but he was a quick athlete at 215 and if he retains that quickness and explosive, he is going to be fun to watch!
