Some interesting matches due to moving weights in Osceola

Jake Rau bumps up to 285 to wrestle Logan Peterson from Ellsworth, loses SV6-1.  Tons of respect for Rau. Dual was over at this point, no need to put his undefeated record on the line.  He still took the tougher match. 

Good night for Peterson, also beat Jepson from Spooner/Webster 6-4

Logan Melstrom, Ellsworth over Sam Melton Spooner Webster, 8-7.  Melton bumps up from 182. Once again, huge respect for Melton taking the tougher match.

Cedric Kosnopfal Ellsworth bumps from 160 to 170 to face Chase Melton Spooner Webster and loses 6-4.

I love that these kids are all looking to take the tougher match, face tougher competition.

My hat is off to these young men.

Gavin Drexler IMO maybe the best light weight in the state, I would pay money to see Gavin and Rivera toe the line. Two awesome kids on and off the mat but the styles could not be more different. Gavin is a stalker up tempo wrestler with heavy hands and an endless tank, Rivera is an intelligent funky snake and with one wrong move he bites and your on your back. I think Gavin's gas tank rivals anyone in the state so I would give him the edge.

I believe they met in the youth state quarter finals last year with Nicolar coming out on top. My memory fades a bit but it was 15-8 or something.  Crazy match.
